37-Week Term for Violin
August 31 – May 29
Main Studio at First Christian Church,

Two Scheduled Weeks Off:
- Christmas/NewYears: December 24, 2026 – January 2, 2027
- Spring Break: March 7- 13, 2027
Free Group Class on Saturdays from 9:30 am – 12 Noon
These are for reviewing, refining, polishing, harmonizing and playing together – at no extra
fee. There is overlap among levels. Students arrive in stages. Each
half-hour focuses on one Suzuki Book level.
- 9:30 am – Book 1
- 10:00 am – Book 2
- 10:30 am Book 3
- 11am- 12:00 noon – Book 4 and above
Students should arrive for 1 or 2 books prior to his/her current level.
Take advantage of this important class! Those who attend faithfully experience new ways to think about old pieces, to increase the fluency and beauty of the music – together as a group.
Payment Options:
Two half- term payments: 10% discount: payment 1 in September, week 1 and payment 2 in January, week 20/
Nine monthly payments: September – May. There are 4 or 5 lessons per month; however each payment is one ninth of 37 weeks.
Absences and Missed Lessons
If you miss a lesson for sickness or any other reason, we will make it up ASAP. Please keep me informed if you need to miss a lesson. We will reschedule as close as possible to your regular lesson time. Please remind me when you need a make-up lesson. Please make sure you get your 37 lessons.
Absence for illness, conflicts, etc., will be made up as neas as possible to the scheduled lesson. Lessons are usually not canceled when students are off school for weather or small breaks ( Labor Day, Memorial Day, Presidents Day, etc.). At time if I need to reschedule, I will make sure we reschedule your lessons.
2026-2027 HEART STRINGS FEE SCHEDULE
Violin Lesson Rates -Includes Saturday Group Class: (10% discount for 2-payment option)
30 min lesson = $30 per week – 37 weeks= $1107 ($123 monthly September – May)
(OR – $1110-110 = $1000. ($500 in September/ $500 in January)
45 min lesson = $40 per week – 37 weeks = $1476 ($164 monthly September – May)
(OR – $1476 -148 = $1328. ($664 in September / $664 in January.)
60 min lesson = $50 per week- 37 weeks= $1850 ($205 monthly -September – May)
(OR – $1850- 185 = $1665. ($833 in September / $832 in January.)
OR – You may pay cash weekly or bi-weekly, adding more record keeping, but I can handle it.
Adult Violin Group – $5 per week, 18 weeks= $90 (September-December I January-May)
PRE-VIOLIN/BOWED PSALTERY (age 3-5) -$15 per 30-min lesson-10 weeks= $150
I offer a FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC class through John A. Logan on Mondays at 6pm at my
studio for children or adults who want to begin an instrument – using violin, bowed psaltery,
keyboard, song flute and singing as our “laboratory instruments.” If interested, please see the
JALC Community Education Fall Classes on the website, and register there.
